About the Book

As mentioned on Bill Gates’ website The Gates Notes

In the universe of business, a lone voice pierces through the murkiness and tells it like it is. The Rogue’s Guide will explain business principles using examples and verbiage from various universes, to help the typical Earthling achieve success.  This is not a book for the successful, but for the ones who want to become successful.  These principles will guide the individual onto the path of success.  Within this narrative, the authors will explain principles relating to selling, advertising, purchasing, ethics, trust, motivation, customer service, and more.  These principles are presented in a brutally honest, entertaining, and sometimes controversial manner. The frelling business world will never be the same again!

Principle 37

The one who believes that they are more important than others only demonstrates that their opinion is to be ignored.

The very powerful and the very stupid have one thing in common. They don’t alter their views to fit the facts. They alter the facts to fit their views. Even those entities with a positronic brain are wrong sometimes, so why believe that you have the most important opinion? We’ve all heard the blowhards spouting their opinions, and when someone tries to posit a differing opinion, they are shot down, usually with said blowhard not letting the others defend their position, or confounding the issue with unrelated information. Whether they are right or wrong, they should be ignored and not be given the position of power.
